Paper Quilling Supplies

Paper Quilling Supplies

Choose tweezers and glue applicators for quilling

Use a grip or applicator that suits the paper size and the joint. Check the tip, what is supplied and how the maker says to clean it.

Pick up coils without crushing them

Use tweezers when the coil is too small to place accurately with your fingers. Compare straight and angled tips against the clearance around the piece. Start with light grip pressure and test a spare coil.

Keep glue delivery controlled

Check the opening and whether the applicator includes glue or is sold empty. A small tip helps place glue at the strip end or at a contact point. Compare with the glue maker's directions for compatibility and cleanup.

Plan the final mounting surface

Arrange the dry pieces on the backing before gluing. Work through the parts you can reach easily and leave clearance around closely spaced coils. The base material and required edge height matter more than the number of tools in the pack.

Guide questions

Does a precision bottle include glue?

Only if the listing identifies it as included. Some precision applicators are empty bottles with caps or needle tips.

Should I use the same tip for every glue?

Check the adhesive instructions and applicator material. A thicker glue may need a different opening.

When are separate bottles useful?

Use them when stations or different compatible adhesives need to stay separate. Label the contents clearly.

Which accessory suits the job?

  1. Choose four bottles and funnels for a few labeled positions. Choose ten matching bottles for a larger group.

  2. The separate needle tips transfer compatible glue by hand. Choose filled pens if you want adhesive supplied with a choice of application widths.

  3. Use tweezers to position coils and precision bottles to dispense a compatible glue. The two tools solve different steps in the assembly.
